Common Money Problems We Help With

After working with hundreds of people, we've noticed the same issues keep coming up. Here's what we see most often and how we actually address them.

Can't Stick to a Budget

You try tracking expenses, but after two weeks everything falls apart. The spreadsheet gets ignored. The app stops getting updated.

What We Do About It:

We help you find a tracking method that fits your actual habits. Some people need daily check-ins. Others do better with weekly reviews. The key is matching the system to how you think.

Emergency Fund Feels Impossible

Everyone says save three months of expenses. But when rent takes half your pay and bills take the rest, where does that money come from?

What We Do About It:

We break it into tiny steps. Maybe start with saving for one unexpected car repair. Then build from there. Small wins create momentum.

Debt Keeps Growing

Credit cards, personal loans, buy now pay later accounts. The minimum payments add up fast and the balances barely move.

What We Do About It:

We look at interest rates and payment schedules to find which debt costs you most. Then create a realistic payoff sequence that doesn't require eating instant noodles for a year.

Retirement Seems Too Far Away

Superannuation statements make no sense. The balance looks small. Contributing more means less money now when you need it.

What We Do About It:

We explain compound growth in plain language and show you what small increases might mean decades later. Sometimes seeing the numbers makes it click.

How Our Program Actually Works

1

Understand Where You Are

We start by mapping out your current financial picture. Income, expenses, debts, assets. No judgment, just facts. This takes about two sessions because rushing through it means missing important details.

2

Identify What Needs Fixing First

Not everything needs attention at once. High-interest debt? That's urgent. Investing in shares? Can probably wait. We help prioritize based on what will make the biggest difference soonest.

3

Build Systems That Fit Your Life

Generic advice doesn't work. If you hate spreadsheets, we won't force spreadsheets on you. If you're bad at remembering monthly tasks, we'll find automatic solutions. The goal is sustainable habits.

4

Adjust as Life Changes

New job, new baby, unexpected medical costs. Your plan needs to flex when circumstances shift. We check in regularly to make sure things still make sense.

What Our Workshops Cover

We run regular sessions on specific topics. Each one focuses on practical skills you can use immediately. Next round of workshops starts September 2025.

Why I Started clyseonova

I worked in banking for twelve years before realizing something was wrong. People kept coming in confused about their own accounts. They'd sign documents without understanding the terms. They'd take on debt because someone told them it was "good debt" without explaining what that meant.

The financial industry uses complicated language on purpose. It keeps people dependent on advisors and uncertain about their decisions. I got tired of watching that happen.

So in 2019 I left the bank and started teaching people directly. The goal was simple: give people enough knowledge to make informed choices about their own money.

We're not here to manage your investments or sell you products. We teach you how to evaluate options yourself. How to spot red flags. How to ask the right questions when someone's trying to sell you something.

Financial security doesn't mean being rich. It means understanding your situation well enough to make decisions that align with what you actually want. That's what we help people do.
